Choo choo! Leo held up his toothbrush like a tiny train.
"All aboard!" he said. "The Tooth-Brushing Train is leaving now!"
He squeezed a small dot of toothpaste onto the bristles.
Squish. It smelled like cool, minty peppermint.
"First stop," Leo said, "the front teeth station!"
Choo choo, chugga chugga, the toothbrush train rolled along.
Tiny sugar bugs hid in the corners, giggling and wiggling.
"Not today, sugar bugs!" Leo said, brushing them gently away.

He moved the train up, down, in little circles.
Choo choo, up to the top teeth, down to the bottom.
The sugar bugs squealed and slid right off his teeth.
Where do you think the sugar bugs go when they get brushed away?
The train chugged along to the back teeth station next.
Chugga chugga, all the way to the very last tooth.
Leo brushed in soft, gentle circles, just like Mama showed him.
"Choo choo," he hummed, "no sugar bugs left on this train!"
He brushed his tongue too, a quick, ticklish little swipe.
Then he swished water in his mouth. Swish, swish, spit!
Leo smiled wide into the mirror, teeth shiny and clean.
"All sugar bugs off the train," he announced proudly.
He gave his toothbrush a little rinse under the tap.
It sat in its cup, ready for tomorrow's journey.
Do you like to make train sounds when you brush your teeth too?
Leo climbed into his cozy bed, feeling minty and fresh.
His teeth felt smooth and clean, like tiny polished pebbles.
"Goodnight, Tooth-Brushing Train," he whispered with a happy yawn.
"See you again tomorrow morning, bright and early."
Mama tucked him in and kissed his forehead softly.
"Sweet dreams, my clean-teeth explorer," she whispered back.
Leo closed his eyes, dreaming of trains and minty adventures.
